We've been to this place more than ten times, and plan to come back when we're able to make the trek to flushing. Best suejjebi (noodles) house in NYC. Fast, efficient service. Also sell to-go kimchi, which is fresh and keeps for longer than the Hmart stuff.

Great food and great service! The restaurant is clean and great for groups. The soup is good (could be a little more flavorful) but the kimchi makes up for it.
Solid spot for comfort soup!
Parking is a bit difficult to find but worth it!

The best homemade fresh kimchi to go with their delicious soup noodle.  Service is fast.  Great ambience.  Their Ono seafood pancake is to die for.

I finally had a chance to come dine-in instead of takeout. Prior to dining in, I ordered seafood pancake and oyster pancake; which are both really delicious. I usually get their seafood pancake and chow it down in the car. What makes this place different is their amount of seafood on their pancake and bonito flakes on top.

Today, their seafood pancake didn't have much seafood, but made up for it with Mayo which made it overly sweet. The ratio of the pancake just wasn't balanced. Also got their clams with long noodles. It was a huge bowl. I couldn't finish it. The broth was so simple and so tasty and love that it was piping hot on a cold winter night. The clams were quite sandy though.

The service was super quick and friendly. The restaurant looks traditional with wooden tables. I really enjoy their kimchi too. If you love their kimchi too, you can purchase some to take home!

You know its good when your super korean friends recommend a korean restaurant out in murray hill (queens not manhattan) and it truly did not disappoint. To start off, we had the haemul pajun (seafood pancake) and this was unlike the ones you get in manhattan. You can tell how fresh and handmade it is because its not completely flat like a board and you can taste it too. Definitely one of the best seafood pancakes I've had. Those same qualities are also on display in their other dishes too. The bajirak kalguksu (short-necked clam kalguksu) was very tasty and you can tell these noodles were handmade because the thiccness varies piece to piece. The bibim guksu is also just so tasty and me and my friend's fave dish here. I know murray hill is hard to get to for those that live in manhattan but if you are remotely near by, it is definitely worth a detour!

One of the best korean places I've tried! It was a trek here from flushing main area but totally worth it. My friend and I got the seafood pancake and the kalguksu soontofu to share. The portions were massive, although we only got 2 dishes we even had leftovers. The seafood pancake was so crisp, did not taste doughy and had lots of ingredients. The noodle soup also hit the spot and the broth was tasty. Service is very friendly and the interior of the restaurant is spacious, modern, but also feels homey. Would highly recoommend.

Some of the best Korean food I had and at a such a generous portion size!

My friend and I ordered and shared the fishcake noodle soup and the seafood pancake and it was a lot for the two of us! The seafood pancake was perfectly crispy with a lightness to it. It had a good amount of seafood that wasn't just the frozen mix. The fishcake noodle was likewise also really good. The fishcake that they gave us was a good variety and the noodles were perfectly chewy and bouncy. The soup was also was very flavorful.

The service was also quick and easy and the interior had a very nice wooden feel to it. They also asked us if we want more kimchi but they already gave us a lot of kimchi lol.

Overall, I highly recommend this place and the seafood pancake! Everything was amazing and I would definitely come back again!

I asked a friend of mine to recommend some authentic Korean food in the area and Daesung exceeded all expectations.

On a Saturday night we were seated immediately, but the staff almost overlooked our table because they were short staffed. It was a small oversight considering how polite and efficient the service was after we flagged someone down to get menus. The ambiance is relaxed and casual and while the service is fast, they don't rush you out right when you're finished eating (the downfall of eating anywhere in Manhattan or downtown Brooklyn).

All the food was really good including the banchan. The seafood pancake was the best I've ever had. It's perfectly crispy and the batter they use just hits different. Both the Kalguksu and Spicy Seafood Kalguksu were flavorful and refreshing. The clear broth in both noodles is easy to drink and perfect on a cold day. They have sauces on the side to dip your pancake/add to the soup but I think the entrees standalone were flavorful enough without them.

I was really surprised when the bill came and the total was ~$70 (with tip) for the amount and quality of food we got. Split amongst three people, it was practically a steal. And we didn't leave feeling bloated or heavy. Guess I need to check out Bayside more often.

Nice clean spot with fast service. The noodle soups are really perfect as a nice, clean, warming meal. They have REALLY good fresh kimchi. I actually prefer a bit fermented, but if you like it fresh, they even sell it to take home.
